The moment we stepped into the Selvanayagi Amman temple, the space gently claimed us. What began as a venue became our compass for Yashu and Guha’s wedding. Its stone, its silence, its spirit guided every gesture of design. We shaped a hand-crafted backdrop that felt like it belonged there. Garlands of fruits, vegetables and chillies paid homage to Selvanayagi Amman. Our illustrations drew their warmth from the temple’s age-old murals and sculptures. And quietly, we wove the couple’s story into the stage through an accordion panel. From one side, their illustrated journey revealed itself. From another, the tenderness of the coconut leaf panel revealed itself. Two perspectives. One story. A dynamic visual. To welcome them, we laid out colour-blocked kolams etched with symbols that carried their love into the space. In a setting like this, inspiration wasn’t sought. It was offered, gently and abundantly.
