For Aswin & Hamrutha, the design explored the idea of reimagining tradition through form, color, and context. Set against the lush green backdrop of Kodaikanal, the space was designed for the golden hour of sunrise when light turns fluid and everything it touches begins to glow. A palette of pinks, ochres, and soft gradients was chosen to capture and reflect that changing light, allowing the decor to stand out gently against the landscape. Inspired by the structural rhythm of temple architecture, familiar materials like brass, banana leaves, and florals were treated as elements of texture and form rather than ornamentation. The result was a setting that felt grounded in heritage yet distinctly contemporary, a study in balance between nature, material, and memory.
